We have been coming to Lewes Beach for over 10 years and it has always been neat, fun and the town of Lewes enjoyable. The only negative is the town coffers needing filling to the point of charging handicap parking the same as others, veterans and others should not be charged to park with appropriate handicap designations! With the vibrant... 更多
Lewes Beach on the bay is a great beach, especially for younger kids--no big waves to worry about. It's a very wide beach and life guard protected during the season. That said if you love body surfing and the pounding of the waves then you should consider going to Rehoboth Beach. If you don't want to hassle the crowds in... 更多
We have been spending June in Lewes for 18 years, and we love it here. We started because it's a Bay-front town and our children were small; we wanted a quiet small-town feel, and we wanted a bay beach (no waves). It was perfect! We still come here, and our kids are 18 & 21 and still love it. LEWES... 更多
The Lewes Beach gives you a different experience, with calmer water and less commercialism. This is a beautiful beach for swimming, lying in the sun or walking along the water. It's close to downtown Lewes so everything you could need is convenient.
This is our beach of choice. Clean and not crazy crowded. The bath house is clean as well. It's safe for the kids and the life guards are vigilant.
I started swimming here in the early 60's while the fish factories were still going strong, and the fish oil and scales on the water along with the smell of the fish when the wind was right was something you don't soon forget. A lot has changed since then. The Factories are gone, replaced with homes, and there is no... 更多
very nice and clean area is good and has a small town feel can walk to dairy queen on and wide choice of resturants for a nice day out,
Great free little beach. Go to the Surf Shanty on Kings Highway, rent an Umbrella for $5 bucks! It is very clean, safe beach. Restaurants are plenty too!
Lewes, Delaware is a historic town with a great deal to offer relative to history and dining. The beach is really fronting the Delaware river bay so you do not get a sense of the ocean with big waves. To the right is the place where the Cape May Ferry leaves Delaware aiming for New Jersey. To experience the ocean... 更多
Surprisingly less crowded and quite beautiful. We went a pleasant weather day and spent the entire day there. Only problem was the parking lot. We had to keep repaying to add time.
Awesome beach. Hit Cape Henelopen state park - the beach has great surfing waves! Very cool town as well - great restaurants. Rent an umbrella from the Lewes Surf Shanty on ur way. Awesome place.
