I was so happy to find this Amish market in Dover. The food is great I have made it a weekly trip to get food for the week. I did not think the prices were that high when you consider that the things that you are getting is all natural. The day I went they were having an auction in... 更多
We had a friend visiting and, for some reason, he wanted to go to a flea market. We took him the Spence's Bazaar in Dover. Honestly, we we're impressed by the flea market at all. It's sort of random and all over the place. None of us was tempted to by anything. The Amish Food was another matter. The sandwiches... 更多
Starting with the parking lot it can get very crowded so maybe having someone to control the flow of traffic would help. Also the parking lot is ruff. Maybe they could pave it. Auctions are only Tuesday and Thursday. Auction seems to be not worth it. If you find one item you have to wait the whole time plus honestly... 更多
Best part is the Amish market. If you can find the end of the sandwich line, get in it! But it is loosely organized at best, which is one of its charms. This has been in business for many years and I have found shopping there hit or miss. Many items are overpriced but they will dicker and often if they see you walk away they will do far better. The food is wonderful and it is fun to watch the Amish go about their activities.

As flea markets go I've seen a lot better but I have not been to one with such good food. In particular we found the sweets shop really tempting and came away with several items that we have not seen the likes of anywhere else. This is well worth a visit.
Inside you can find the entire community getting their breakfast or lunch from the Amish people behind the counters. I get my meat at the butcher inside weekly. The bakery is one of the best around. Outside you will find something of a large yard sell. Very informal, loads of fun.
