It is all beach along the road between anyer and carita (about 50 km?) and it has a great potential. I have visited Anyer - Carita long long time ago and I cannot feel any serious development in the area. There are several points you can stop but be prepared with crowded merchandise sellers or under developed beaches.
The authorities should take control about this because the beach was very beautiful, and it was not that far from jakarta. Lots of "pungli" around the beach
To crowded, and please beware if we take the speed boat, in the middle of the sea they would seduce us to go further and pay more expensive.
This must be the filthiest beach in Indonesia. All littered with all sorts of rubish and sewers dumping directly on the beach. No trace of the Indonesian warmth and friendliness found elsewhere in the country. Unless you're on your way to visit Karakatoa it's definitely a place to avoid. still one of the most jakarta's pepoles favorite place to visit, though the access to get there is really difficult start from the transportation (hard to find transportation, you have to bring your own car or rental it) until the road (bad).
