I was visiting Connecticut from out of town and decided that I wanted to check out this park. What a great find! Being from out of state you don't have to pay if it's off season. It was a beautiful walking area with beaches and a little park for children. Everybody was so friendly!
While everyone crowds a beach in summer, you can really appreciate its beauty in fall - sheltered by Long Island, it succombs slowly to winter, and the easy mile walk from West to East Beach shows the diversity of the landscape. Rocky outcrops, trees, looking out to a strip of land, to the sand of the horseshoe-shaped East beach, turning... 更多
Just a great park with wonderful views of Long Island Sound. All facilities are all well maintained and their great walking traila is just perfect for walking with your four legged family members.
I visit a few times a week year round to walk my dog. The one mile loop is paved and flat, nice and easy for an old guy. He enjoys it every time. There's even a dog fountain for him to drink from in the warm months. Great sunrises over Long Island Sound. Kayaking & SUP on Holly Pond. Lots... 更多
Cove Island park is one of the better local parks I've seen. The walking path is its best feature. There's a little something for almost everyone; skating, boating, walking, fishing, picnicking, ball games, etc. It's reasonably clean, but loud music can sometimes be irritating. A resident permit is required (or you pay a fortune) during the summer season.
Living in the area, we often go for walks, they have a great walking trail, a beautiful beach, a lovely museum and a wonderful play area for children.
Nice place to spend a day or fet some air and relax. Small beaches but were empty. Rented bike and rode which was perfect. so set up beach chair under a tree with view if harbor and relaxed. Good place to walk, nice views. If don't have pass it is $25 for a car but could walk or bike or... 更多
We were at a convention in Stamford and on Friday decided to drive over to Cove Island Park. It appeared very scenic from the outside but with a 25 dollar parking fee, I felt that it was not worth it for the hour I had to spend there. There however is better than other parks that do not allow any... 更多
Plenty of shady areas to picnic, rocks to climb on, or swim in the beach. Lifeguard was on duty when we were there. Walking paths, grills, plenty of parking.
It's beautifull park for kids adults, all ages. Lots to do in the park and beach. Beach is nice parks Dept. Always try to keep it nice and clean. Some peoples drink beers not a good example for kids. Hand ball courts could be better/ Over all it's really nice to walk and play around.
