When you visit New Haven, take some time to visit the unique stores and local dining spots on Chapel Street. My favorite eatery is Claire's (coffee, shakes, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bakery treats) and my favorite store is Wave (unique jewelry and gifts).
This place is the heart of Yale! Lots of things to see and do here. I would recommend being careful at night as there can be some unscrupulous individuals.
Chapel Street has a host of stores and two museums to visit. There are a variety of excellent restaurants on the street as well. History at your finger tips on this street.
Chapel Street, right in the heart of the undergraduate campus area, is the commercial center for Yale. Loads of restaurants and shops, many Yale buildings. Always interesting.
