I recently made reservations and went camping at Rocky Neck State Park. The weather was beautiful that weekend. Upon check in I realized that it was not a very great camping area. We were put in a field surrounded by multiple other campers so it was a loud and very un relaxing experience. That night we were woken up at... 更多
Great place to bring your pet for a nice walk in the off season. Spacious, beautiful scenery and nice beach. Gorgeous views of the ocean. My husband and I go there often. Take note there is a parking fee in the summertime.
Children can search for crabs, skim board, and float down a little river at Rocky Neck Beach... It's heaven for the littlest ones. The sand is soft and white, and it's not too crowded except on major holidays. Don't expect a big surf even at high tide at this beach. (If you want great waves, go to Watch Hill.) At... 更多
I only visit this park for day trips to the beach. The parking fee is very reasonable. The facilities have always been clean. The beach has two entrances and two sets of facilities on both ends. The beach is very long and great for walks. Some visitors will bring string and chicken or lunchmeat and hunt for crabs in the... 更多
Be aware that daily parking fees can range from $9-$22. Camping is usually sold out early and fees for resident and non-resident can be costly. Call ahead to plan: 1-877-668-2267. Saltwater swimming and fishing. Large restrooms, first aid and park ranger offices provided. While picnics are delightful, know that a sizable concession is offered. Lifeguards on duty in season. Though a little chilly, another great off-season day trip. Bridges and overlooks for viewing local wildlife, lots of places to walk and picnic.
This is great park on the water with beach access. It is fairly large with plenty of area for hiking or just hanging out on the beach. The parking lot is only a short walk to the beach. We were there during the off-season so the concession stand was closed. The pavillion was intriguing but closed for the off-season.
