The visitor center has a great staff & much info on everything to do in the Winter Park & Fraser area. They organize many Year-round events & help businesses get their name out there!
Great place to spend a day even if you are not skiing, it has stores, restaurants, lodges and it is always full of people. We had a lovely day. Don´t forget the soup restaurant, it is just what you need in a cold snowy day.
Whether you need a spot to warm up, restrooms or you need some information and suggestions, The Winter Park visitor center is your stop. Located conveniently downtown no matter what season it is, every time we stop in we always find what we are looking for with the help of the staff.
These folks were very friendly and spent time with us recommending places to rent snowshoes and which trails to try as a rookie.
We Stayed across the street from the Winter Park Visitor Center and we just wanted to explore the area for future visitors and ourselves for skiing, sledding and snow shoeing. We love that area for it full food, shopping for souvenirs and rentals if needed. Fun non ski activities too.
The young lady marked the map for hikes in the area and answered all my questions. There is a wealth of information for a variety of activities.
We had stopped in last year also. The people were very friendly and helped us identify walking trails appropriate for our group--complete with explanations of the maps and how to get to trailheads
The Visitor Center team are awesome! So helpful, knowledgeable and fun. Our family went back twice for advice on hikes, bikes an things to do on rainy days. So great to have such insightful locals giving input.
