We went as far as Twin Falls and the flowers were beautiful. 4x4 really needed to get to the Falls. Big increase in ATV's since our last trip to Ouray.
You need a 4 wheel drive vehicle for this trip. Very beautiful scenery. Flowers are amazing. We were lucky enough to see a rainbow!
We enjoyed our drive and the beautiful wildflowers. We had a lot more company than we did years ago when we jeeped this area, but that's the nature of things. We had heard about the flowers and we weren't disappointed. Governors Basin also was excellent. Great scenery, but high clearance 4x4 recommended!

There were already a lot of vehicles however (4x4's, ATV's, dirt bikes, etc) and people, by the time I arrived at the basin, which for me;... 更多
If you love wild roads, wild flowers, and waterfalls this is the destination for you to get away for a few hours. If you are up for a fourteener then plan on 6-9 hours depending on skill level. The views are some of the best in Colorado whether you are at the top of Sneffels or at the falls off... 更多
