Unexpected geological formation on the side of the highway from Durango to Purgatory Resort. Quick stop to see and read a little history about the hot springs in the area. Look to the other side of the road for other hot springs that are not accessible.
What you see in the picture, is the same thing as being there. Not much to see here. The attraction is less than 100-yards off the highway, which makes it even less appealing to families. Stop, take a picture, move on. Not much to see here, and in my opinion its not worth the drive from DT Durango. If you're... 更多
This is about 12 miles north of Durango on the side of Highway 550. Don't bother using your GPS (it will send you off course) - just drive along the highway and it will be easily visible on the side of the road with a pullout area for parking. The water is only a little warm and there's not enough... 更多
The hot springs is on the side of the road and hard to miss if you are looking for it. It's an interesting and free point of interest to stop and see while driving around Durango.

Now the water comes out the top of the pipe, down the rocks and then... 更多
We'd driven past this one other time and I didn't get to stop and investigate this strange shape on the side of the road, so when I passed it again yesterday I turned around. This is an interesting stop that will provide for cool photos. The water wasn't too hot, and it didn't smell like eggs like most hot springs.... 更多
A very cool little stop on our way to Silverton, only about a 10 minute or so stop, but very worth it. The water is warm and clear, you can walk down the side a little bit. There's an interesting history plaque to read about it, kids would really enjoy the stop.
