We didn't have time to explore the entire park. But we did picnic in one area (near some play structures not far from the tennis courts) and had an enjoyable time. The park is large, and located smack in the middle of the city. Lots of trees and paths. The picnic facilities were fine (not super, just fine) and we... 更多
We've been to Chicago's Grant Park and Lincoln Park and New York's Central Park and St. Louis' Forest Park. But while the others have established their own identities, Denver's City Park has it all. There are nice views, open areas and plenty of seating. Sit awhile and relax while reading a book or take a relaxing walk through the park in the middle of the city.
We are so blessed in Denver to have great parks and this is one. Lots of green and lots of events in the summer. A pinick sounds right just about now
We didn't get to tour the park much but just the little bit we mosied through by the museum was very nice and well kept and judging from the view kind of sad we didn't stay longer ALSO if you go to the museum and want to do the zoo after don't move your car, parking was hard to find... 更多
This was a nice, quiet place to walk around. Lots of room to roam. The small lake is lovely with some water fowl present. I definitely plan to go back. So nice to have this kind of free place to enjoy!
OK. As noted elsewhere there are a number of homeless people that were getting there meals there If this offends you go early morning or late afternoon. Parking: All pay. ..cheapest on the streets. Nice layout with the State capital building at one end. Likely much better in later spring when then gardens are sorted out.
