Very big park bordered by the Denver Zoo and Museum of Nature & Science (from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Rockies and sunsets). Several playgrounds for kids, tennis courts, lakes and lots of paths for running/walking. Only downside is the geese, who poop all over the park. Watch where you walk!
If you are short on time when visiting the mile high city this is the place to see downtown with the beautiful Rocky Mountains in the background. We only had a few hours before heading to Fort Morgan to see family so this was a great spot to take in the awesome city/mountain views. And even if you have a... 更多
The park is great--jazz nights in the Summer on Sundays are hard to beat. The lake brings geese, and with geese come goose "presents," so just watch where you put your blanket before you sit down. Great place for pets and families!
Anyone traveling to Denver should take advantage of the wonderful expanse of City Park which is adjacent to the Denver Zoo and also the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The view of the Rocky Mountains looking west are spectacular! I enjoy the park and all it has to offer on a daily basis.
I’ve run a 5K race here as well as just strolled around on the grounds over the years. The park is great for families and feels safe with its expansive grassy areas and paved sidewalks meandering around a collection of decent-sized ponds. There are also mature shade trees. Both the Museum of Nature & Science and the Zoo are within... 更多
We went through the park while on a Segway Tour and loved the open beauty and people watching here. You get a feel for the culture in the city.
Want some sunshine but don't have time to drive farther out? Take a walk in City Park instead! The lake is lovely and full of birds (we saw a cormorant catching fish, which was really neat), and there are plenty of bike/walking trails to explore. There are also plenty of benches for relaxing and taking in beautiful scenic mountain views... 更多
We took a Bcycle from 16th street hotel out to city park, while the route was a bit busy, the park was beautiful and expansive. The zoo and the science museum are both located here. A boat park for renting kayaks and row boats.
Large park with nice walk/run track around a lake. Great for sunsets with downtown Denver on the horizon. Lake can get a little smelly with lots of Canadian Geese droppings. Not much in the way of services, but 17th street is nearby and has significant dining and entertainment options.
