We had so much fun snowboarding at BC! My kids and I really enjoyed the mountain. We had a private lesson with all the perks. We skipped the gondola line, ski lift lines and they provided warm cookies and hot chocolate during a break. We will be back soon!
Ate at The Swiss Chalet. No snow yet, so no skiing. Mt opened 11/25/16. Went into Vail most of the time. Shopping is great there, but costly. Vail historical museum was interesting with video offered. Hiking is always good.
Beaver Creek village looks very nice but until ski season begins be prepared to enter a ghost town. We stopped by for dinner and every singe shop and restaurant was closed.
I absolutely love the feel of Beaver Creek. When you first get there you feel it is a little too high end for a ski resort, but there are just so many quaint little things about it. I visited Colorado in December and obviously wanted to get some snowboarding in my friends. Real treat when you're from Africa! I recommend you take a scenic drive out to Beaver Creek for the day. There are snow people and then, there are "no-snow" people. Being one of the latter, this lovely community has so much to interest the summer visitor.
