The House of Blues on Sunset Strip is the place to go for a concert. Awesome line-up of performers and bands. The atmosphere is casual and intimate. Also recommended is the Sunday Gospel Brunch, as long as you come for celebrating the spirit, rather than the food. The latter is unfortunately mediocre.
I've been to the venue many times for gigs whenever I'm over in LA and I always had a fun time. The atmosphere there was amazing and a great place for live music. Too bad it's gone now.
Gone now but will always be in my heart as the best blend of spirit, rock and soul.....having seen hundreds of shows over the course of many years, I can truly say my life is forever changed because of HOB Sunset Strip. Help Ever Hurt Never.....
I have been to this location 3 times. Drinks are overpriced, the sound system is so so and the decor looks like every other House of Blues. There is nothing special here which is probably why they closed it. It is being torn down to make way for another Hollywood Hotel...
My son's band played in one of the many rooms at the House of Blues. The ambiance was spectacular and we were able to do some star gazing while there. Hadn't been there since the 70's. Great old memories of Hollywood Sunset Strip. Just heard it has been sold and will be torn down in the near future. Very sad.
Called in for a drink and sat at the bar - bar tender was good music was OK - not sure what went on with the food. But I heard it was closing so nothing much to add
To begin we went on a friday night with no reaervation at about 8pm so maybe thats where we went wrong. To begin we werent able to get a table in the restaurant so sat at a table in the bar area. It wasnt massively busy when we got there in the bar and we were seen to quite quickly.... 更多
Went with a few friends last night to see Marie Mai perform. She did a very credible set. The room is quite small and intimate, and as a result was very crowded. Perhaps too crowded. Beware the valet parking was $20.00! I didn't eat or drink, so I can not comment. However some of the people I was with couldn't... 更多
Not what it was. The food is fine, though overpriced. The acts they get now are definitely not A list, and their time is limited anyway as permits have been granted for demolition. Really a shame, because the HOB really revitalized the Strip when it opened, and it was a great venue. Alas, I mourn the HOB! If you must... 更多
It is heartbreaking that this venue is having to close for "development". See it before it disappears at the end of July. Hopefully, they'll resurface somewhere else soon.
