Boreal Mountain has two key advantages. The first is location - it is right off I-80 and closest to Sacramento and San Francisco. The second is that this resort gets a good amount of snow and is usually the first to open in November. It's also one of the less expensive resorts in the area. However, the resort is small... 更多
Great place to take beginners. My kids had a lesson in the morning and then we skied all afternoon and into the evening. Great prices and lots of beginner runs for my beginner kids.
The 5 stars is for my private lesson instructor, Smoove. I'm learning to snowboard and took my first lesson at a different ski resort. Today, I took my second lesson at Boreal and I had so much fun. Smoove was awesome! He pointed out that I needed to push my knees out more and that was the thing that really... 更多
Great resort, friendly people. Only complaint is that it gets crowded at times and the lines are sort of slow sometimes because it gets crowded. I've been coming here since I was a kid a decade or two ago, and I've actually just recently come back. I remember taking classes here, though I don't really remember in detail how they... 更多
Boreal is an awesome place for taking a ton of park laps and learning new maneuvers. Its super easy to get to, easy parking and their parks are always dialed.
Was a great experience. First time using rental services...My daughter wanted to learn how to snowboard, so we rented all the equipment, boots, pants, helmet, snowboard, lift pass and a 2 hour class for under 150.00 great deal.... Make sure you arrive early 730 am, so you can get a seat by the window to watch your kids learn. It's... 更多
My children took ski lesson here when they were only 5. The children's ski school is outstanding. This is a great beginning to learn to ski area, and also one of the best snowboarding areas in all of Lake Tahoe!
Boreal is a small ski area. They try different things to attract skiers. Woodward is a large building filled with trampolines, foam pits, ramps, and other constructions to learn flips and tricks. The resort has an extensive park area with half pipe, rails, and jumps of various sizes. They have a contoured ski run with banks and hills that's fun.... 更多
I've visited Boreal for the very first time this 2015-2016 snow season with my family. With both visits on weekends and for the very 1st time mid-week (*non-holiday*) The weekends can be extremely crowded and parking charged $20 if you do not already have 1) season pass OR 2) pre-purchase lessons/ski pass. For my midweek visit with the kids, it... 更多
