I recently reviewed the SFMOMO.This is tiny in comparison but better! At least it knows what its there for.If you visit Tiburon by ferry from SF for a day out this little museum is worth the time.Original artefacts and nice and well informed volunteer staff. Its free but I made a donation but no pressure to contribute if you don't want to.... 更多
We spent a few hours at the wharf and the museum park. Tiburon is a really nice place to go visit. While you can see the San Francisco city skyline, it feels like a thousand miles away. There are nice shops and restaurants scattered through the city and everything is walkable. We had a good time visiting the city and... 更多
This is my favorite type of museum, in situ and with a docent who knows everything about everything in the museum, plus a model train setup of the actual location. Plus it overlooks the Bay! We showed up because after Angel Island, we noticed a small gray house and were intrigued. Come to find out it was the museum. It's... 更多
I was very impressed with this Tiburon Museum! I was worried my kids would not be as interested in the railroad museum, however they ended up really enjoying it. They were engaged as they examined the models and watched the tiny trains move through the small buildings. The history of Tiburon and Belvedere is fascinating and the Museum takes a... 更多
My boys and I walked along the bike path and noticed the museum less than 200 yards from the ferry plaza. Real easy to access and we were delighted with what we saw. Personally, I was amazed at how much the sleepy rail town had grown into a beautiful destination point. The kids loved to watch the head docent move... 更多
This little museum is like a time machine, transporting you into a time when Tiburon was the terminus for the Northwest Pacific Railroad. The highlight is the working scale model of the Town of Tiburon in the 1930s with working model trains. The level of detail and historical accuracy is amazing. Even as a resident of Tiburon, it pays to... 更多
What a cool spot to learn about California history! They have the most awesome model of the town complete with working model trains. The kids were mesmerized! The two gentlemen available for questions and conversation were eager to share their knowledge. Well worth the suggested $5 donation.
Got there when closing at 4 but still enjoyed the proprietor who was happy to talk about early Tiburon. There's a great big model of the early railroad town of Tiburon.
