Turley Cellars is a modest place to visit in California. Beautiful area with natural beauty. But the wine is anything but modest. The zins they create are simply the best wine I've had - yes, it's a personal preference but I can't find anyone that I've share Turley with on two continents disagreeing.
We enjoy the Turley wines and see a visit to this vineyard as a high priority. The setting is modest (with the exception of the bar which is cut from a single tree), but the wines are excellent. The staff can tell stories about each. Definitely worth a stop.

This is a lovely place to stop ... and not too far off US101. They have a lovely patio that includes chairs and tables from wine barrels, and a fountain.
