I have had many years of enjoying this pretty lighthouse. This was the first time I seen it light up the sky. Very wonderful.
Charming parklike setting, at one of the most popular surf areas around. Free parking, so stop and enjoy the sites, and don't forget to watch the surfers down below.
Surfing here is what is all about. In the lighthouse you see all the surf boards that they used some time ago, and just a little south of the lighthouse there is a memorial for the late surfers at the cliff. Surfing is a lifestyle, like skiing in Norway.
There is a small surf museum with photos and surf boards of past. Gift store sells tshirts and related items. Good for a quick visit.
This has been turned into a surfers museum and unfortunately it is closed on Tues. and Wed. but if you want to watch some great surfing they have it there off the point of where this is located. the waves were exceptionally high this day and it gave a great show of surfers
The museum wasn't open, but this is a cool lighthouse and a great place to sit and watch the surfers. There are some great historic homes out on the point and a nice park. This would be a great spot for a picnic!
