I am not an avid hiker, but as a local it is obviously an attraction. I personally have not reached the peak in my adventures, but it has been a good experience.
If you're not completely fit, it can get a little strenuous in certain spots. It's a nice trail to bring dogs on, and know that you WILL cross paths with other hikers as it's a very popular trail. The view from the top is amazing but there are no rails to keep you from slipping off the rocks so it's... 更多
I had the trail listed at 4.0 miles from the Patricia Dr trailhead entrance. It was a pretty warm day for Mid-October but my 7 and 10 year olds thought the hike was easy. The first mile is slight uphill and the 2nd mile gets a lot steeper. There's sone climbing at the end if you want to reach the... 更多
We took the Felsman loop before finding the Bishop Peak trail, so it was a long hike. I haven't hiked in over a year so I'm not in the best of shape. I wasn't sure I'd make it to the top, but took some breaks and pressed on. It was definitely worth the effort, the views were incredible. We parked... 更多
A beautiful hike that takes you through a little forest, it's very dry, you can tell that California is in a drought. The trail winds around to the west so if you go in the afternoon you are baking in the sun with no shade. I would go in the morning. Beautiful views, good workout. Hike took about an hour... 更多
A hike that is not for the amateur. A little experience in above average hiking is necessary to conquer this peak. If the hike isn't breathtaking enough, the view will surely take your breath away. Plan an early morning start and the pre-afternoon weather will get you in the mood to tackle this one again and again and again.
We hiked up from Foothill Rd which is a bit more scrambly in sections than leaving from Patricia Dr. Allow about 1.5 hours. Moderately strenuous with a great view from the top.
This was one of our favorite places to hike in California. What a nice surprise. About 3.5 hike around trip which was perfect amount for our whole family. There were benches towards the top for resting which was amazing. Great weather for August!
It may be tempting to take this hike lightly because it's near town and very popular. It is a lot of fun, but the last few hundred feet of elevation is a fairly tough climb. Yes, it's a piece of cake for the seasoned hiker. But if you're stopping in town and happen to think it looks like a fun... 更多
I went up Bishops Peak with my family (including 2 "old" teenagers) and enjoyed the hike. It took us about one hour to go up and 40 minutes to come down. We started at Patricia drive and then encountered some signs for Felschman loop. The signs for Bishops Peak only showed up a little higher up.
