There are much better parks around the bay area to jog/walk/visit. Dry, dirt roads here. Vegetation is pretty much gone. No water in the river. Quite a bit of homeless people hang out here....however they don't cause any trouble.
It was mostly hot and dry walking the trail. Very little water to see because of the drought. There were a lot of ground squirrels and some homeless people.
Had a very long layover and was a very welcome activity to pass the time. Very well maintained and marked trail system passing right by SJC and a nice stroll to downtown. Paved without any elevation changes.....very easy
The pathway alongside the river was (WAS) very special but it hasn't been looked after and is in desperate need of a cleaning up, repair and regular maintenance.
Besides the homeless (which is unlike to bother you), and strava segment hunting bikers, the trail is excellent for running - no traffic, peace and quiet.
While on business I like to head out for a run and see the area. This trail offers a great opportunity to get 5 to 8+ miles in the serenity of a trail in the middle of the city. From downtown you can run along the river to SJ airport and beyond. I turned around at the airport but you... 更多
This is a good walking park. But beware of your surroundings. There are alot of homeless camps and strangers on the walkway. It is a fairly isolated park so be carful. During busy times many people use this trail. It has been expanded and you can go from downtown past the airport.
Living in New Hampshire, I'm definitely used to much more serene and secluded nature adventures, but the Guadalupe River Park was a nice bit of green in the concrete of downtown San Jose. It did feel a bit run down and parts and the river looked to have seen better days. However it was a good spot for a stroll... 更多
My wife & I visited Guadalupe River park in downtown San Jose for one purpose - to see the giant Monopoly game playing surface! It's over on the San Carlos Street side of the park. We found the Children's Museum on Woz Way to be the best GPS target to use to find the park. The only drawback to visiting... 更多
While strolling along downtown San Jose, we stumbled across Guadalupe State Park, it was nice to walk along the trail and saw some nice things along the way. Didn't get to see the Rotary Park, maybe next time. All in all, it was a nice stroll and would do it again.
