We had a wonderful tour of a working mill. The grounds are well kept clean and the tour guide was nice and very informative. We even left with with fresh Polenta grain. This was a very nice little detour away from all the wine tasting.
Our guide, Mario, packed a lot of information into the tour. If you've never seen how a gain mill works, this is a must. You'll also learn a lot about the history of the area. This was an extremely interesting tour of a working mill. The volunteers go through a bit of history, explain about the mill and do a demonstration. We found it fascinating.

We were not able to go into the Mill since it was closed, but the Park Ranger did come out and turn the wheel to keep it wet on all sides. We took lots of pictures and enjoyed reading about the history on some information signs. We hiked in the area too and that was very nice!
