Anderson Valley is a treat for the Pinot lover. You will not regret it. So many wines, so much time. I really enjoy Lula, Baxter, Navarro, PhillipsHill, Toulouse. Goldeneye is great but a bit overpriced.
My husband and I visited the Anderson Valley wine country in June 2016. What a lovely area! We enjoyed tastings at several places and also took the goat cheese/wine tasting tour at Pennyroyal Farm in Boonville. (also highly recommend-- charming place!)
I love the Anderson Valley. Beautiful rural drive and mostly small family run wineries. Most don't charge tasting fees and those that do waive the fee with a minimum purchase. Take time to explore some of the small towns along the way... there are some really good stops for lunch.
There is so much to see and do as you travel through Anderson Valley. You can wine taste, picnic, or just enjoy this idealic valley and the scenery. Easy rolling curves and not too much traffic.

After visiting Sonoma and Napa valleys, a drive through Anderson Valley is a welcome change. Winding roads, deep forests and beautiful scenery make it hard to beat. The pace is slower and the wineries more welcoming. Enjoy a visit on your way to Mendocino. Just make a note to watch for rock slides which are frequent along this route.
I love the Anderson Valley for wine tasting. Even though it's a long way from southern LA County, it's worth the added distance. Paso Robles and Napa/Sonoma have their great wineries and restaurants, but the wineries in Anderson Valley are far more welcoming and relaxed. Check out Toulouse winery for the friendliest people and great wines ... they don't frequently... 更多
Anderson Valley is like Napa only 30 years earlier. None of the pretentious attitude found in Napa/Sonoma. The local vineyards make you feel like family. Must visits are Hanley and Elke: the former for its world class wines and the latter for a traditional, hand-made brand of Pinot, wines and bubbles. Hanley's service excellence is due to new manager, Chris... 更多
