Great place to sample some local cheeses, especially after seeing cows dotting the hillsides and pastures. You can watch a short video about the history local cheese making. There's a nice park with benches next to the shop so you could buy all you picnic essentials and have an au plein air feast. Actually, there are 2 areas to picnic.... 更多
We had driven out to the Pt. Reyes Lighthouse which was unfortunately, fogged in. Did enjoy seeing all the historic still-working dairies on our way back. Thought we would drop into the Marin Cheese Company and purchase some picnic items and in particular, a nice selection of Cow Girl Creamery cheeses. To our great disappointment, every single Cow Girl Creamery... 更多
The Cheese Company is in a really beautiful setting. On one side there is a pond and picnic tables. On the other side of the store/deli/gift shop is a larger, shaded picnic area. Place to play wiffle ball or badminton.. Good deli but it is kind of overpriced. But you have a beautiful area to retire to so it is to... 更多
We make it a point to stop here on our way to Point Reyes. Something about the smell of rotting cheese tantalizes the taste buds. We spend time looking for the softer, more ripened cheeses to take with us.

We always buy the ready to eat now Petite Camembert, which is to die for. Make sure to buy the soft cheeses that are ready to eat now, if that's what you want. Today we sat in... 更多
Dropped in based on the TripAdvisor rating and recent reviews -- honestly, you'd miss this place rushing by if you didn't know you were heading there, but what luck if you stop in! I took some time to read the website ahead of visiting, so I already knew they no longer give tours, and I was somewhat educated on Brie... 更多
We've been coming here since college days. Love picnicking by the pond. My favorite is the breakfast cheese, semi soft but a bit more pungent than the brie. We also love the Camembert. The drive leading up to the Cheese Co. is beautiful and serene. Just make way for the weekend cyclists and you'd be fine.
This is located in the middle of the Marin County Dairy farm area. I live near the cheese factory and love to stop in and get a wheel of Camembert from time to time. The staff behind the counter will tell you which cheeses are ripe and ready for consumption if you ask them. Do this - it does make... 更多
