It's hard to go wrong with beaches in California along Highway 1. This is another great place to stop and walk the beach, wade in the water, watch a sunset or have a picnic. Worth a stop.
A very unique coastal wonder along the Pacific Coast Highway. A beautiful coastline of rocks with cavities worn by the wind and wave. The cavities are filled with pebbles that make up much of the beach. There are also substantial tidal pools where you can find all kinds of small marine life. This is not a beach for sunning but... 更多
We love this beach! It is quiet, has picnic tables, restrooms, and tide pools. We visit Bean Hollow and Pescadero on the same day. The rock formations are really interesting and it is fun to look for little critters in the tide pools. Easy access to the beach.
there is a road side pull out for parking, maybe 20 cars. short steps down to the beach. Because of the configuration of the land and rocks, billions of stones wash up here are tumbled by the waves. They come in all colors, are polished and about the side of a jelly belly jelly bean or smaller. A lot of... 更多
A lovely walk along the cliffs with crashing waves, great wildflowers. Long pants recommended since there is the usual poison oak. It's very picturesque, one of our faves.
We went on a Saturday afternoon to explore and eat lunch. There was parking available. There is a one toilet pit style restroom. On one side there was a small trail with a couple of picnic tables where we sat and watched the waves crash on the big rocks out in the ocean sending large sprays of white water into... 更多
This is by far my favorite beach. Actually its divided in 2 beaches. If you are coming from SF (from the north) it would be the second beach. The first one is parallel to the sea you can see straight and theres all ocean. The one i prefer is the second one, its like a small cove, it has rocks... 更多
It would get 5 stars ... but ... let's not talk about the toilets! Grab some take out lunch in Pescadero (Arcangeli grocery!) and a coffee and enjoy it with a view. Parking is easy (as long as it isn't a sunny weekend) - we had it just about to ourselves. There is easy access to both parts of the... 更多
I grew up in the area and this is my favorite beach. Yes, there are tide pools, cool rock formations that look like dinosaur bones and a secret cove only accessible during low tide. But my favorite part of this beach is the pebble sand. This is a one of a kind true pebble beach. They now have a neat... 更多
This beach is worth a stop on the coast highway. The surf puts on a spectacular show hitting the rock formations when the surf's up. A stairway gets you to the tidal pools but be sure to keep facing the ocean as rogue waves are a possibility. There's not much of a beach but there is a picnic table and... 更多
