I liked very much the current exhibition: Wowen Stories - Baskets of the Cahuilla. The topic was connected with a very interesting way to the wider knowledge of Cahuilla people. All the best for the new museum project!

I'm told that there are are plans for a much larger museum, which should be able to house a much larger array of displays of the Agua Caliente band's culture and traditional ways. I hope to... 更多
Currently located on what is called "The Village Green" right on Palm Canyon Drive along with some restored old homes, the museum focuses on the native American culture and history in the area. It has revolving exhibits. The current exhibit is on the relationship between Black Americans and the native population. It was very informative. They are planning to move... 更多
I like to know the history of the native peoples of areas where I visit. Had a good talk with the person at the front desk about the exhibits and area. We stopped on a whim and got an introduction to the museum from the docent. It is a self guided tour. There was an exhibit from the Smithsonian about the intertwining of Native American and African American cultures in the Americas. There were also sections on Native American culture in the Palm Springs area.
Good job folks being open and the other folks taking the summer off. Museum was very well setup for the current exhibit which was concerning blacks as indian's and how the system seemed to work to not support them in the early days. Great informative exhibit and very interesting Located in downtown.

The docent was very helpful explaining the history of the Agua Caliente Indians and their relationship to the area. Who knew that the Indians owned most of the Palm Springs land and leased it to... 更多
