The weather forecast said a high of 82 degrees for the day, but it felt much hotter than that. We went the first week of April and there was still water flowing. If there wasn't water flowing, this hike would be a less interesting as the trail criss-crosses the stream throughout. The palm trees and rock formations made this hike... 更多
The Murray Canyon trail is an easy little hike that offers a completely different desert experience. We take all our first time desert guests to Murray Canyon so that they can see that the valley is much more than just endless alternating golf courses, condo developments and sage brush filled empty lots. Highly recommended.
Did this as one of the Trails when we visited Indian Canyons. Nice 3 mile trail, but you need the right footwear! Also, take plenty of water.
One of the many great hiking canyons in Palm Springs. Great place to get out in nature for hiking. Go early if you can before it gets too hot, bring plenty of water.
We didn't do the entire trail because we didn't want to get wet feet and didn't allow enough time. I would like to go back and do it again. The Murray Canyon trail is a pretty easy hike, about 4 miles there and back. You cross the stream multiple times, so make sure you are comfortable walking on boulders and rocks to do so. Additionally, as you get closer to the waterfall, there are some very steep areas to get up and over rocks and boulders. The waterfall at... 更多
I stumbled upon this hiking area while touring homes in the area. It is close to downtown, and yet you feel like you are out in the middle of no where. It is a surprise, and a great safe place to go for a hike and to meet locals...
We hiked Murray Canyon early in the morning before it got too hot. It was a perfect hike for us. It is about 2 miles in and 2 miles out. The first part is through a dessert like area, and the remainder criss crossing a little stream about 16 times. It isn't a difficult hike and it has varied scenery.... 更多
