We have enjoyed Tilden Park as a family for decades. Great hiking , great views and a place to be one with East Bay nature. Most places dog friendly.
Always an enjoyable time at Tilden Nature Park. No matter your age or fitness level, there is something to enjoy at TIlden. Lake Anza provides cool swimming and a nice beach. Hiking trails have great views of the bay.
This is a must go place if in the area or even worth crossing a bridge. Great for walking/hiking and even driving around. Much better to get out of the car and walk around.
Tilden is a large park in the Berkeley Hills a couple of minutes' drive from downtown Berkeley. Aside from forested canyons and sunny meadows (and many picnic tables and grills) the park has swimming Lake Anza, a children's train ride, and a world-class botanical garden which reflects the diverse wildflowers of California thanks to microclimate niches
Tilden Park is in the Berkeley hills and it has many attractions ranging from a merry go round, miniature train, horse stables ETC. For children as well as a beautiful lake, picnic grounds and a formal hall for receptions etc. A great place for a day's family outing.

There's a nice loop around the lake. There is also a nice lodge onsite, and you can schedule meetings there, too.
We were surprised at the quality of the information at the education center. We had passed by it numerous times, never stopping in. Don’t make the same mistake. There is some quality information and interesting dioramas here regarding the history and ecology of the Wildcat Creek watershed. There is also information on the various parts of Tilden Park and brochures... 更多
Tilden has everything you want for a day-long picnic/party to overnight camping. The weather up here on the hill tends to be on the cool/cooler side so you want to bring a few 'Bay Area' layers. My favorite aspect of the park is the loop trail near the Little Farm that takes you to Jewel Lake. Serene and gentle walking... 更多
