I went up there for the tranchula fest..... Great if you like huge spiders! Also WERC was there with some of their rescued birds. Amazing. They also have guided hikes throughout the year. The wildflower hikes no the spring are wonderful.
The park was well kept by wonderful staff. I would imagine day hiking would have a much different experience then mine. I am leaving this strong review only for help. If I was not an experienced hike in camper I would want to read all of this information. It gets very hot here and there are long stretches with no... 更多
Beautiful place to get away from city life. The trees are huge and some have been opened up so people can walk through them . They have a train that gives you a ride throughout the mountains very scenic. This place is for everyone not just kids so if you get a chance pack a picnic and go spend the... 更多
Great spot for a quick, end of day hike. Not strenuous but offers some great mountain views. The drive from Morgan Hill is longer than one would expect, but it also offers some great scenery.

Rangers are usually there only on the weekends, but one happened to be there that morning, and we had... 更多
Did a couple of nights solo camping and a day of hiking may 16-17..the state park was a 45 min drive from San Jose, CA up the winding road, i think the elevation of the camp is 2K feet..it wasn't the peak season at this time of the year, during my solo camping here, I only met 3 other groups.... 更多
This was our second trip to Henry Coe and the second time we have barely seen anyone on the trail. The park has a lot of trails to do from easy to strenuous. The park rangers are very helpful when you check in if your not sure exactly where you want to go.When you get out far enough you can... 更多
Can't beat the wildflowers here in March - June. Good short hikes as well as longer ones. The camp ground is small, but the restrooms are nice.
The park is out in the boonies, about 12-14 miles from the Highway. But that has some advantages- if one wants solitude, the park is very quiet. At least, it was really quiet the day I visited. The two unexpected surprises both relate to night time. 1. The stars are really bright and really nice to gaze at with no... 更多
