I live 5 minutes away from the beautiful Clear Lake State Park and it is a great walk to the beach area, takes about 1 hour. I really want to launch a Kayak off the beach but haven't done that as yet. I see quite a few vacationers fishing along the creek. If you are into green smoothies, healthy bunches... 更多
My buddy wanted to have his Bachelor Party as a camping trip, and we booked a nice spot at the Kelsey Creek Campground. It's really close to the boat kick off are and swimming portion of the lake. The entire area was also surprisingly clean in spite of there being so many people there. The area was way more popular... 更多
This state park is Near Kelseyville, Ca. It was recommended by the locals as a good place to visit to see birds and wildlife of the area. There is a $8 entrance fee for each vehicle, so the visit is pretty inexpensive. Saw grebes, osprey, bald eagle, green heron, blue heron, yellow headed blackbirds, a lot of waterfowl and a... 更多
Stayed here recently with my family. The lake and slough were full. The park was full of families and couples enjoying the outdoors. Within first hour of visit, identified 12 different bird species. We saw frogs, turtles and fish swimming in the water. Park staff were friendly and helpful (We never encountered Officer Conner). Swimming area was pretty good too.... 更多

Long story here, please read through to the end. I was on Cobb Mtn. when the Valley fire decimated our entire community on Sept 12th 2015. The house my dad built is gone, like 100's of others in our neighborhood. Mateo (my dog) and I fled the area, just getting out ahead of the firestorm. We bounced around a bit... 更多
Campsites are huge, summer time is gets hot so look for sites with shade. If your tent is in the clear view of our shining star, you will be woken up in your sauna of a tent.
We drove through this park to launch our boat into Clear Lake. The park is beautiful and well wooded with Shade. The staff were very friendly at the gate and made us feel welcome. If I was looking to camp or spend a day hiking this would be a good park to do it in.
SGT Ranger Darrin Connor is absolutely horrible. He approached our camp at 9:45pm, keep in mind quiet hours is at 10:00pm, there was no one around our campsite and no one complained. I was cooking dinner having a few drinks with my family while telling a joke when Range Darrin Connor rushes at us aggressively in the dark with no... 更多
