We just noticed the sign on the building, driving by on the highway. Wow! History of Imperial County. One part: a section of probably a dozen nationalities who helped to build the region. Their culture, pictures, dress, etc. Exhibit on water, items from the past from typewriters to dental equipment to farming tools and equipment. A great way to learn... 更多
A must when visiting the Imperial Valley. There are so many things to see. The history of the Imperial Valley is fascinating and this museum has it well documented supported by very professional and well done displays.
Located this museum on the internet before visiting El Centro and the Salton Sea. What a great surprise. The well planned museum is both impressive and extensive in presentation. It offers a different space for each nation that sent its people to the Imperial Valley in the last 100 years. Each space is attractive while showing the native dress and... 更多
This is a very well maintained and historically interesting museum. In December they have an excellent food from around the world tour. Every Valley resident should check this place out at least once!
Although the Imperial Valley was only settled a little over 100 years ago, it has a rich and varied history that really comes alive when you visit this museum. Many varied and interesting exhibits about the pioneers that settled the area, the complex water history, and the agricultural history that comprises the leading industry of the area.
A very good history of the Imperial Valley . It has wing that show the different eithinic cultures and how they helped settle the Valley. There is a separate section dedicated to the livestock industry and also a very good wild life exhibit.
A nice small museum. Good collection of items from past century. War uniforms; "galleries" of each immigrant group to come to Imperial Valley showing their clothing, household items and curios - the Swiss, East Indian, African, Portuguese, Chinese, etc -- all of these collections are maintained by the ethnic groups as volunteer work -- very nice.
