This is a great spot to get a break from city life, get exercise, and see beautiful birds. Canadian geese were on the path today and they are not scared! Not busy during the week.
The reserve is just off Pacific Coast Highway and Warner in Huntington Beach. It's a nice walk where you will see several Snowy Egrets, ducks and other birds. The trail is very flat and not too bad after a rain. However, the rain does bring in some trash. I take my camera with a 18-300mm (not a serious wildlife lens)... 更多
This is a great place to go for a relaxing walk - whether you are a visitor or live locally. It was recently renovated/updated and protected so that more wildlife will come back and more people can quietly observe them in natural settings.
This is an especially delightful place to walk with easy trails and interesting signage. Bird watchers will be in heaven watching all the different varieties. The Bolsa Chica Reserve (AKA Wetlands), is one of the greatest places to visit in the area. During the Spring there are numerous species of birds that migrate here to mate. If you like to walk and see nature this is a wonderful experience. you can always see bird watchers and other folk walking and enjoying the ecoloy and nature. Really enjoy if you like to walk.
We chose this as a break in beach action. Its free and you have a chance to see birds that we might not have seen somewhere else. There are lots of opportunities for the nature photographer. The only facilities are a port-o-pot...plan accordingly
