My family stopped here for a few hours to stretch their legs on the way to San Diego. The park is not horrible but I am guessing the bathrooms, trails, shelters, etc were installed in the 1960's and they are badly in need of replacement/refurbishment. Dixon lake is East of Escondido in the foothills. It is a great family place for a variety of outdoor activities. Boating, and fishing are good. We go there for picnic's and find it a wonderful serene spot that is close to town.
It has a very clean environment around and in the lake. There are many great hiking trails around the lake. Also, it is great for fishing. Many grassy areas are open for picnics. It is free to enter on the weekends.

I fished there on 8/21/15. I found the place to be clean and well kept. I rented one of their... 更多
