Getting around Coronado on a busy summer weekend was grating. We enjoyed getting out to this beach and away from the throngs of people. While not as scenic as some beaches, we did enjoy the shorter walk through the sand while lugging our beach stuff. The distance from parking lot to ocean isn't bad at all! There are tons of... 更多
Went to the beach early morning. Very nice shells and sand dollars. Found a large beautiful clam shell . very nice beach. You can walk for miles. You can camp on this beach but only RVs. Ten dollars to park for the day. Had a great time
The Strand is that link between San Diego and Coronado. It's a beautiful area and one worth driving across. The park is an excellent way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Beautiful, long, clean beach with lots of space. Great waves. Bring a beach umbrella and sunscreen. Not many places to buy food/drinks but there are some. Easy to find, and easy to park. Parking fee, but not expensive.
This takes a little bit of getting to, but is probably the sandiest beach among the San Diego area State Beaches. Some Navy and local families, but this is usually not as crowded as others and has a very long stretch (the strand) of sandy beach on the ocean side. You can take some tunnels to the bay side. This is such a beautiful place, there were hardly any people there which was refreshing compared to some of the other beaches we've been to. It was beautiful, the only thing was the water at the restrooms/showers didn't work and we were unable to wash up before we got back in the car. Otherwise this is one of our favorite... 更多
This beach is very clean, the water was a perfect temperature and there was plenty of parking (a premium in San Diego). It's easily accessed either via the Coronado Bridge or if you're starting out south of there, on the way to Imperial Beach.
I really liked this beach compared to others. It was clean and quiet not too crowded. A nice experience away from all the over crowded beaches.
