very calming and beautiful area. be watchful of dog poop though! great for walking and helpful in relieving stress. the historical aspects are interesting as well.
It's huge, natural and has something to offer for everyone who loves the outdoors, from swimming to biking to disc golf to caper acres for little kids. The trails are my favorite, along with the observatory, and Big Chico Creek has many swimming holes - for you and your dogs. Get outside!
The walking/running/biking path is paved all the way through lower park making a great 6 mile loop that has two bridges along the way to shorten the loop at any point. Dogs love to romp in the creek and the wildlife viewing in the early morning is extensive.
Young families and grandparents playground. A place specifically mentioned that no adult could enter without being accompanied by an adult. It's fenced and play areas all over. Some for under 2 - 5 years of age and some for 5 - 12.
