Great atmosphere, spacious tasting room, nice patio, and friendly staff. One of ~10-12 tasting rooms on the main drag in Carmel Valley. You can hit all of them in a long afternoon (we did).
Was glad we stopped at this winery for a taste. I love the fact that they aren't trying to do too many varietals....I feel like that leaves them to focus on the ones they make a bit more. We found several we liked but ended up purchasing one of the Pinot Noir's on the list as well as the Syrah.... 更多
Lovely outdoor patio to sip wine but service was just ok. Tastings are ~$20 which is like napa prices. I prefer sonoma wineries. Nothing stood out but the wines were decent.
Really enjoyed the Pinot Noirs at this tasting room and drinking wine in the courtyard. However the service from the tasting room server was deplorable. She frowned the whole time, rolled her eyes when customers asked her for the next tasting, and made snide comments when people asked her questions. She gave little more than the most cursory, basic information... 更多
Conveniently located, pleasant and knowledgeable staff and great wines. They had just sold out of the Viognier were after, but we purchased two Chardonnay wines and a fabulous Pinot Noir. Would recommend Boekenoogen as a "must stop" in Carmel Valley.
Finished our Carmel valley tasting here. Met the gracious owner who is folksy but smarter than a fox. A former lettuce farmer, now winemaker. great pours and well beyond the tasting menu if you are friendly. We didn't buy but I regret it now as this was some of the best wine in the valley. Even so, worth a stop.
We visited this winery on the recommendation of a friend who once worked there. We really enjoyed these wines and the info on the area. I took home a bottle of the Chardonnay.
If you only had one tasting room to go to, this would be it, although we'd recommend Talbott, also. The best wines we tasted the whole trip, great Chard and Pinot. Small garden patio to have a picnic with your wine if you so desire. Service was personal and exceptionally helpful. No fee if you buy wine.
We visited the tasting room in Carmel. Boekenoogen, which we barely can spell and only after the visit can pronounce, was recommended by Talbott Vineyards. A shoutout of thanks to Talbott because Boekenoogen was worth the stop! The tasting room is welcoming and set in an exceedingly pleasant environment. Good feeling from the start. The people were friendly and willing... 更多
