Have been trying to do this for a few years as they only run tours certain days....we went on Saturday April 25 at noon. Had a great start tour guide and then he handed us over to another for rest of tour which included the tower....very very informative, what an interesting man, a renaissance man. Would be nice to have... 更多
This is an essential stop on your trip into Carmel, if nothing more than to see all the stones that put this together. It stands out and rightly so amongst the cookie cutter gingerbread houses,not that they are anything to sneeze at.
Stopped by to see it from the roadway, then signed up for a tour the next day. The tour was very informative about Robinson Jeffers life and family, why they moved to Carmel and how the house was built. The free- standing "observation" tower, built entirely by Jeffers from rocks was very impressive even before one saw the view from... 更多
