We really like this place. Usually better than average performances. We saw "Sylvia" last week. Hard to stop laughing. Near the coaster. Easy parking. Restaurants nearby. Some performances are suitable for familiies.
The golden age of radio was really quiet apparent in the NVA's current production "The 1940's Radio Hour". My husband and I were impressed by the talent of the company and the wonderful entertaining production . It is so close to home and it was the first time we attended. we have attended 3 plays at this theater, the last one this month. The acting is outstanding, however this theater company has been in business for 15 years and the sets, direction, and offerings do not reflect this.
This company has excellent experienced actors who seamlessly switch from role to role - while the set design and costumes are bare bones, this is an enjoyable way for anyone to experience Shakespeare. The music innovations are especially fun - worth spending an evening in downtown Carlsbad, where we found some good restaurants nearby for dinner. Coaster stop is across... 更多
