This really isn't a forest but definitely a grove of Eucalyptus trees. Trails are well maintained for those who enjoy walking, hiking or jogging. Many people bring their dogs, like myself, but if you do, please remember to clean up so everyone can continue to enjoy the peaceful, serene atmosphere. There's actually 2 parts to Hosp Grove. Part is on... 更多
these trails are an awesome way to get in a lot exercise in a short period of time ! steep , rouged , & at time challenging , especially it your a trail runner.
I love this place for walking alone, with friends or with my dog. The eucalyptus trees shade the trails so you can even get a nice respite from hot weather. There's actually 2 sides to this Grove--one on the northwest and one on the eastern side of Monroe Street/El Camino Real. There's several entrances but they all eventually blend together... 更多
Hosp Grove Trails provides a convenient place to do short (or longer is you wish) exercise walks. There is a playground by the parking lot for people with little ones. The trails are well-maintained. Dusty and not very scenic (compared to other places in California).
Smallish park with easy hiking trails. We've been taking our kids here since they were small. The teens like to hike on their own while the littles play on the playground.
Eucalyptis grove, originally planted for train ties, but that didn't work out for the owner. Great place for a short (30 minute) hike, near a Dollar Store, Staples, and other stores.
We walked nearly all of the trails in the Hosp Grove and loved it! There are several different paths to choose from and they vary in elevation and difficulty so one could enjoy the park without having to put a major work out in unless they wanted to opt for some of the steeper trails. Great views of the lagoon... 更多
Although the trails here are rated moderately difficult, we found the 1.5 mile loop walk relatively easy. The huge, peeling trees were stunning. Great place for a little exercise. There is, however, quite a bit of traffic noise, as this charming park is wedged between busy streets.
My first visit: Saturday morning around 8am with 2 dogs in tow. Lovely trail, super accessible, enjoyable & easy hike. Look out for families with small kids, dogs off-leash if you have highly reactive dogs like I do. A Springer Spaniel came bounding over a hill followed shortly by his owners. I made sure to stop and hold my dogs... 更多
Moderately difficult to average trail type. Diverse enough to be interesting for more than one visit. Beware: Some dog walkers... 更多
