The problem with Capitola is the traffic getting in. It's a decent beach, but there are local ones that are far more chill. But if you are into the "scene," well, this is as Riviera as it gets.
We enjoyed ourselves, but this isn't a large beach so be prepared to practically be on top of each other. The water is a little stinky and cold, but refreshing after laying on the beach in the hot sun for a little. There are so many cute little shops and restaurants! Get there early if you want any chance of... 更多
This is a very nice family beach. It has all the conveniences you could want: bathrooms, showers, rental store for wetsuits and different boards and lessons to boot, restaurants and shops a bit farther in. It has a nice cove area for people to try out their surfing and boogie boarding, and lifeguards that come on duty later in the... 更多
What an amazing place. We love the beach and shops and food here at Capitola Beach. Order a pizza at Pizza My Heart and eat while sitting watching the waves. Go to the far left as you face the ocean to watch the surfers during the day and a nice place to buggy board too.
I love Capitola Beach but don't go on the weekend unless you like crowds. Dogs not allowed. Parking challenging. Fun shopping and restaurants easlily accessible.
This Beach is a small and busy beach. locals and tourist love this beach. the small lawn area is perfect for me. Ice cream shops and cafes are a few steps away. surfers and dog walkers keep me entertained. traffic but not to bad most times.
We walked to the beach and could smell it from a block away. The water is murky, which is weird for a Northern California beach. Skip this one and head to either Santa Cruz or Monterey.
This is an amazing beach community. Just big enough to have fun food and shopping from higher end restaurants to places like Pizza My Heart. Bathrooms are easy access and often on the weekend live music is playing. Great area for easy surfing and space for SUP and boogie boarding. Also Lifeguards on duty in the summer. Parking can get... 更多
After finding a parking place nearby, we wandered past the main beach to an overlook where we sat comfortably and took in the scene. Kids playing on boogie boards in the close-in surf, boats riding on moorings, and surfers working at catching a wave. Interestingly, the waves were not as good as the ones I'm accustomed to in Oregon, but... 更多
Beautiful beach, lovely people, lots to do and see and don't miss dinner at Shadow Brook, romantic with fabulous food.
