see a number of used WWII planes - some now still in action. Get a tour from the knowledgeable volunteers there. Other interesting things re WWII too.
The day we were there they had about 10 aircraft on display outside and 5 in the maintenance hanger. I think their goal here is to have all the planes operational so not as many on static display as most places. Probably the plane highlight is a c46 commando that you can enter and walk around. They also had an... 更多
This is a wonderful, large, museum with a great selection of vintage planes, artifacts, photos etc. The docents are knowledgeable and unobtrusive. My grandchildren loved climbing in a few of the planes on the tarmac and playing with the controls. It is an entertaining and educational place. Would re-visit.
I visited the museum with my son who is in the Air Force. We really enjoyed the tour of the museum and the airplanes that have been restored or are in the process . They have several planes that are still flying and you can pay to get a ride. I have added a ride in the P-51 Mustang to... 更多
I am a history buff, and stopped here and took a guided tour around the planes. Had a wonderful time, these guys do some fanstatic work keeping these old WWII planes operational. It's a great place to spend a few hours and learn something.
Nice place to visit if you are a vintage WW2 aircraft enthusiast. Not a large place but an absolutely dedicated guide will walk you through the famous war aircraft of the era. Other than the US built, a few british, Japase and Russian aircraft are on display as well. Interesting fact is where they restore these machines to the former... 更多
I am a member of this great museum which lovingly restores and displays many great WWII planes including a B17,B25,P51,Spitfire, Grumman Wildcat and HellCat and many more. They have flyins of warbirds including Fifi the only flying B29. You can take rides which are pricey but worth it. Lots of great knowledgable volunteers around to give you a tour or... 更多
Wandering past on the way to Point Mugu Missile Park, I noticed the sign for Camarillo Airport and the CAF Museum. Being an aviation enthusiast, I noted that we had to visit this place quickly in the morning before moving on our journey. My daughter and I finally left Camarillo half an hour after the place closed with a P-51... 更多
