I love this park during the spring, fall and winter if it is not raining. It has several trails to choose from and is beautiful. If you go make sure you pack water and drink plenty of it. Hike early in the morning if you decide to go during the summer or late spring.
Sunday morning walk in the preserve was so nice. A lot of families out and about. Take water with you but, take empty bottles our of the park. Do not stray off the paths. There are loose cattle and as the days warm up there will be rattlesnakes.
Nice park, close to home, went walking there once, the vista is very pretty, walking between hills and meadows. Will be part of my regular place to go and walk
A great place to see all kinds of birds. Raptors around almost everytime we come. Eagles, hawks, and many other kids of birds. We saw red tail hawks do their mating flights, golden eagles soaring, bunches of wood peckers, falcons gliding. Two big loops from the parking lot. The left one is hilly, the right one is rolling hills.
If you live in the delta area or are just visiting, this is a nice place for a hike. Nothing strenuous, but plenty of room to roam. It's kind of out in the country.
Starting hiking round valley a couple months ago. Excellent hike, very challenging for beginners. When you start the climb to the top it is constant and strenuous. Make sure you bring water, there is no water once you leave valley floor/parking lot. Hike early in the morning especially in summer.
We love Round Valley! Great hiking trails, and beautiful green hills (in the spring). In the summer months, the hills turn golden and the trees offer shady spots to stop. Some the trails are harder than others, but not so hard that you can't take the whole family.
I love heading out to Round Valley for a great hike or run. I head out here periodically just to be outdoors. There is always a chance to spot some wild life and some great views. It is a great place to go with friends or out on your own. Bring water.
