An office worker recommended the museum when she heard I was going to Bishop. I would pass along that recommendation to anyone staying in Bishop or passing though with an hour or two to spare. The museum has been there for 50 years. They have reconstructed an entire town from the late 19th century/early 20th century. There are at least... 更多
This is a Museum I go to a lot and have been doing so for the past 14 years. It's small enough to not wear you out, yet big enough to have a lot of stuff. It has a lot of shops that are behind glass from around 1890's, featuring a Dentist and Doctors office, Library, a Train Depot, A... 更多
Great attraction, open all year, great history of the area, train old wagons and mining equipment. In one of the houses you will find a wonderful lady who will play the ols piano for you, great fun!
This is a fun relaxed place to take the family and look at the way life was lived in years past. There were many old fashioned tools and train memorabilia that kids of all ages could get educated about.
You have seen the signs and say we should check that out someday, well our someday came and glad we did. A great collection of trains, replica old west town, farm equipment, small engines.. you name it. They have gone to a great effort to hold on to Pioneer history in a fun way..great job!
Very informative place. Jay was our guide and was so knowledgeable and informative. It was rather chilly outside but he fired up some of the equipment for us and gave a great tour. It really shows how hard people had to work. It would have been such a rough way of life. Highly educational and well worth the stop!
To get a feel for the olden days we visited the Laws Railroad and Pioneer Village. The admission is free but suggest a five dollar donation per person to keep the establishment going. It is kept up through donations. It had several buildings, some original, that depicts the era. The buildings were furnished with the time period. You can walk... 更多
Better than I thought it would be, this is an "old California" exhibit. The staff seems demoralized and uncertain about the future of the museum,
Laws Rail Road Museum is a great place to spend half a day. It is a lot larger than I thought and we rushed thru in a little over 2 hours so give yourself plenty of time. It is much more than a simple train museum it is a complete old railroad town and all the buildings are full of... 更多
