My first impression came from the car ride up to the city. Zigs and Zags all the way up the mountain side. Such beautiful views as you climb in elevation. At around seven thousand feet sits Big Bear city on Big Bear Lake. Beautiful bays and bluffs make even the first few miles very photogenic. Oh but the climbing hasn’t... 更多
Overall, the lake is quite nice. However, with the ongoing drought, the water level is quite low and the mud level is quite high. In fact, my dog sunk in to the mud up to his chest! However, the water is still refreshing and it was relatively quiet and calm.
This is one of the most famous place in California to visit and I was curious to figure this out, why people love this place? Its fantastic, very beautiful and great athmosphere.
Considering so little snow this past Winter, I was surprised that the water level was not that low. Someone told me they buy and import water, not sure from where or how. Nice trial on the north side of the lake. Be sure to take 38 if any one in your party may get car sick via 330.
Great place to stroll round. Too many souvenir shops, but fine if you're only there for a short visit. The lake is very pretty. Male try of nice looking places to eat. The drive after into the San Bernadino mountains was spectacular. Do it!
Visited Big Bear Lake today and had breathe takingly beautiful views. Just spent the day walking around town, quaint shops, and wonderful views of the mountains. Looking forward to a time when I can rent a cabin and spend more time!
The store was the Brown Bear Gift Shop. The young lady that helped us, her name was Darby. We walked in looking for a strip of leather for a necklace I wanted to make. She was bright and cheerful, very helpful and energetic. I wish that I had her outlook on the things and events around me. We walked out... 更多

Many of the parking lots on the north shore require a forest pass but if you access it from the south shore you will find plenty of free access parks for picnicking. Many of the... 更多
