We reached this complex by climbing over the hill from the Monolithic Bull - well worth the effort even on a steaming hot day. It's a bit out of the way so very few people there and not so much in the way of precision maintenance. Excellent temples and carvings
The Achutaraya Temple at Hampi is one the larger temple complexes such as the Vitthala, Krishna, Virupaksha, Pattabhirama etc. It is a bit difficult to get to mainly because of no obvious route but you can get to it via the route near the Monolithic Bull.

From top of the Matang hill you can see Achyutaraya temple and the entire enclosure which looks awesome. There are not many travellers who visit this part of Hampi but this is really nice and calm place.
The grandeur of this temple complex is stunning. Yet another great temple destroyed by the invaders from Bijapur/Golconda mughal alliance. The huge Bazar in front of the temple is awe inspiring. Imagine if it was a festival in the town of Hampi with the shops in the market lined up with items of varying colours and you are standing in front of the magnificent temple. It would have been a godly experience. Now you have tall grass, a peaceful place to help you imagine.
the hottest place in karnatakathis is soo hot that we should carry water,fruits,umbrella,cap and even shoes if needed.we do get tender coconut everywhere around but still water is very very important.toilets are clean in this place but is pay&use.these monuments are maintained by unesco .what i felt is they could have planted more trees along the path of the tourists... 更多
Visited this temple on my visit to Hampi. The temple is not very crowded with tourists and making it a calm and peaceful experience. Beautiful environment
