This reserve is a 2hr drive from Sandton, and be sure to take the N4 toll road route as the country road has not been maintained at all through the informal settlement - it is positively dangerous with waterfilled potholes, crumbling tar, and unmarked speed humps. Let alone the profusion of garbage and filth. The dirt road leading to the... 更多

We went there with a school trip when I was about 11yrs ....I cant remember that it was open to the public, I think it was privately owned because we met the owner the next day and I mentioned that if you can't relax here, you need medical attention. :) That is really how I felt! We took a very... 更多

Entrance fee for day visitors was R275 for a cpl and a car (??). The view is beautiful but the paths are unmarked and the pools were almost empty. Would not visit there again.
Good Day thank you for your review. I would like to address your issues, firstly as I am sure you... 更多
This was a day visit, during the mid week, although I have camped here many years ago. It is tucked away on a long dust road, which can be fairly bumpy - corrugations caused by rain water and traffic - but well worth a visit. Very tranquil with a a good wide range of walking trails available. The day we... 更多

This place is very peaceful, great views as well. It seems a bit intimidating at first, but once you get going its very easy to hike, well marked as well. So you won't get lost. Its very vast and open, so parts you do see some civilization but overall its quite. We paid a R100 to do the hike.

This trip was undertaken a few years back with a best friend and her daughter and we stayed in a log cabin which was really specious and practically furnished. We took long hikes daily on the various hiking trails well marked out and thoroughly enjoyed them, especially the very deep pools where we picnicked for lunch on the flat rocks.... 更多

Visited for the day. Just a 30min walk to the natural rock pools, these were so refreshing after the walk and absolutely stunning! There is also a normal swimming pool which was nice and big, where you can have a colddrink/drink from the bar. We didn't eat or stay overnight.

We booked a 2 night stay at MS after it was recommended by a colleague. The location is stunning and the walks were incredible (I live in London, so it was just amazing to experience). 2 days was enough for us to visit all the major sites. In terms of walks, even though SA is currently experiencing critical water supplies,... 更多
good morning, firstly I apologise for the late response, we have only now got the trip advisor site up and... 更多
I had heard about this place for years before first visiting but now visit at least 3 times a year. Excellent camping sites and a range of other accommodation means that everyone can find something that works for them. The real highlight though is the hikes - ranging from a 10 minute walk to a pretty river to 6 or... 更多

We have been doing day hikes in the Gauteng area in preperation for the Otter Trail. This trail is beautiful with lots of pretty spots along the river. There are gorgeous rock pools towards the end of the hike. It is not very strenuous with not many climbs so it is good for intermediate hikers.
