We headed this way to visit boulder beach penguins and we were most impressed with simons town when we stopped off for coffee. What a lovely little spot. The museum was really interesting with an extremely friendly English guide, we enjoyed learning about Just nuisance and even visited his grave. Would definitely recommend the museum if you're passing through.
What a lovely museum. Small but extremely interesting. Covers all aspects of life in Simon's Town in years gone by. A very small donation is asked for by way of admission and it's worth every Rand. Nice helpful volunteers on the door. Lovely section on pets of the Navy and of course Nuisance the dog. Recommended.
I envisaged penguins in their natural habitat something as I had seen on discovery channel. Seeing them in Simons Town in the breeding area, the natural environment was so eye opening! Loved watching them interact with each other, it was almost beautiful to see Too thrilled we made the stop off in the town, it was definitely worth it
Simon's Town visit not just museum, market and resturant area By sharing your experiences, you're helping travellers make better choices and plan their dream trips. Thank you!

This review is only about a statue. It commemorates the Great Dane that welcomed troops during the second world war. He had an official rank of Able Seaman and was given a full military funeral when he died. The beautiful statue is in Jubilee Square and well worth a visit. Give him a loving pat before you leave.
