Visited the Samila beach late afternoon in October and it was very busy with lots of Thai tourists visiting the area. Hard to get a photo of the statue as so many people on the statue taking photos. However very pretty beach with horse rides for the kids. Lot's of stalls selling street food and souvernirs.

Ok..the mermaid statue is a statue..get the obligatory photo then head off for the leisurely stroll along the local stalls for food and shopping. We loved the pork satays at THB 15 each. Avoid the chickn satays.The coconut ice creams and sweet green mango with chillie flakes are too good
We stopped here a moment for the scenery and breathtaking view. It was really hot and sunny, the sand warmed my feet I couldn't leave my shoes to enjoy it. But the view is paradise.
Guys , This mermaid statue located at the Samila Beach , where many tourist go there to have a quick breeze of the sea . You can enjoy the coconut ice cream over there for 4 scoops plus the coconut itself , and sticky rice . It was nice to have the ice cream while enjoying the sea view .... 更多
mermaid status itself have nothing much but this is a nice beach where your kids will enjoy it. And right beside the beach, there is street food which is best for foreigners to enjoy some local snacks. You also able to enjoy some horse ridding.
