Great museum that shows how the Britisch coloniser act like animals towards the local people. The local soldiers got permission to wear shoes in 1937 ... before they where barefoot ... Big suprise the locals fought against the Japanees in WW II.
Interesting to see the machete's used by in the war in Rwanda, some local weapons and flags from the RWAFF. The tour was a little too long and boring sometimes. I would have liked to see more antique weapons from the period before the English came to Ghana.
This is extremely boring unless you are especially interested in war machines. I provides little context . History in Asante, especially against the British is amazing and very gripping, but one does not learn about it here.
Rich history, guides are very informative. I have lead many travelers to this historical site and they always love it. interesting Ashanti history Anglo-Ashanti war. the museum is located in the heart of the city center opposite the Ghana Commercial Bank, near to the Kumasi Main Post office.

This is a highlight of Kumasi. Well worth the entrance fee, and so much history to be told. I wasn't expecting such a good experience. Excellent.
