We were actually targeting Blue Springs State park when were realized that we would be arriving somewhat late on a Friday evening. We called Blue Springs as we were about an hour out and were told that all campsites were taken but one non reservable site. As it was Friday, we thought better of going to that park and oped... 更多
We visited this park and did a drive through only as we were in the area to hike. The spring is very pretty. The shower/bathroom facilities were very clean! Nice place!
The wife and 4-year old spent 5 nights, 6 days at this gem tucked away in the Ozark Mountain foothills. What a great trip and an amazing park! Lets bullet this review: Staff- Fantastic, and not-invasive. Those of us that do lots of RV'ing know the local park ranger who likes to give everyone a good ole' shake down. Not... 更多
Arkansas has some of the best State Parks. Years ago they worked out a way to secure dedicated funding. The bathrooms are always clean and efficient. Showers - hot with good flow. We spent a few days at this nice little gem that is tucked away in Forum, AR. We camped there for 5 nights and will definitely go back. It was our first trip to Withrow Springs but won't be our last. If you are looking for quiet, relaxing, beautiful nature spot, this is it. There is no cell phone reception... 更多
The Dogwood Trail and the War Eagle Trail are my personal favorites. We also like to put in our kayaks at the War Eagle trailhead and float down to McCloud Ford. The people in the gift shop are super nice! I had my wedding at the pavilion on top of the park. Lovely in the spring!
With lots of hiking trails, public pool, natural spring and cave, next to the beautiful river, playground, campgrouds and picknick areas you cannot go wrong with this little park
We took the War Eagle Trail and its not for the light-hearted. It is strenuous and forbidden. If you have vertigo or a afraid of heights this trail is not for you. It is very taxing on your brain and physically demanding. However the vistas are great. Toward the end the the trail it is a subdued forest.Great hike!
