An excellent beach, plenty of space however beach 1 can still be crowded so either make the walk into the provincial park beach area (via the connecting boardwalk) or head further west and eventually it gets less crowded. Wasaga beach is the longest fresh water beach in the world. About two hours north of Toronto, can easily do as a day trip. Went the day after labour day, so wasn't very busy which was awesome. You can walk way out in the water before it gets deep, so perfect for families with small kids.
We visited it in on a beautiful warm week day for the first time,last week - a great time to come. The beach was uncrowded and seemed to go on forever. Great place, just expect folks to take garbage home with them....come and enjoy I live in this area...but it is beautiful ...but please do not abuse ....
This is the perfect place for young kids and family, with very shallow water you can go out very far, and clean/clear water. There is a lot of "dark mud" on some parts of the shore, but just avoid this. The beach is large so there is lots of room for people, chairs and tents/sun shades. There is no natural... 更多
