We've rented a cottage on Wasaga Beach (Allanwood Beach section) for the past four years and it's a perfect spot for young families to enjoy as it's very shallow and warm. Fantastic sunsets too, as the beach faces west over Georgian Bay. A great cottage location.

This is an amazing beach. The water is warm and you can walk out very far before you get into deep water. Beach 1 has a great splash pad, souvenir shops and multiple restaurants to enjoy with your family. You do have to pay for parking but the parking lots are very safe and you can park the entire day.... 更多

The beach is huge (Beach 1 to 6 entrances). Noninally the longest freshwater beach in the "world". One fee for parking jn all lots. Entrance is free if you walk in. You can buy an annual pass to all Ontario Provincial Parks. Washrooms in multiple locations. No alcohol is not enforced if you are discrete.
That short window of time after the kids go back to school and the weather is hot. When the beach is quiet and you feel like the only person there.
