I prefer more primitive parks, which aren't hard to find in the area. This is a good spot in the middle of everything, but is pretty populated and all the trails I found were paved.
This was a beautiful place to visit. I live in Texas in a town with a bunch of flat land so to see a place with as many trees and trails as this had just blew my mind. I walked about 2 miles on the bike trails they had going through the trees and around the lake. In the process... 更多
One of the nicest walks in Fayetteville or anywhere. 5 1/2 miles around for walkers and cyclists, on an asphalt trail or out on the soil nearer to nature. Eating places nearby but not intruding. At the Veteran's Park entrance, there's a nice beer garden and some other places close, sports facilities. Up by the Mall, there are eating trailers... 更多
If you like to bike, this is the place. If you like to run, this is the place. If you love nature, yep, this is the place.
Lake Fayetteville is one of my favorite places to go when I'm looking to get a long run in. Whether it's a rise and shine run or an after work stress reliever, this is my go to spot. While I do enjoy running here, this area is also great for biking, volleyball, and frisbee golf. An overall family friendly environment!

Running/walking trails, bike trails (both paved and unpaved options) and a park, all surrounding a lake that you can boat on. The trail also goes by the Botanical Gardens.
On the major Fayetteville trail (atop the moderate, but still largest hill on the route), this small lake is a nice size to spend a hour or so remembering you haven't worked out your arms in a long while. Another bike trail circles the lake. The little rental shop (Lake Fayetteville Boat & Bike Rental) has very accommodating staff and... 更多
I've lived here 13 years and had no idea how large and beautiful Lake Fayetteville is! Has a marina, and a spillway! I biked around it twice-10 miles; now is a part of the Razorback Greenway Trail System. I parked at the Botanical Garden and biked to Pauline Whitaker arena a different day.
